I-84 lanes back open after semi-truck crash

MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — Ada County Highway District reports that I-84 eastbound at Meridian Road was closed on Tuesday due to a semi-truck accident. All eastbound lanes were blocked on the I-84 eastbound at the Meridian Road to Eagle Road exit.
The accident also caused diesel fuel to leak out onto the highway.
Idaho State Police say a 28-year-old male from Bonney Lake, Washington, traveled eastbound in a 1991 Ford F250 towing a 15-foot dump trailer full of gravel. As the driver braked, the trailer jackknifed. A 56-year-old male from Pasco, Washington, drove a 2005 Peterbilt semi pulling a single trailer and collided with the Ford.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The crash happened at 2:01 p.m. The eastbound lanes were closed for about four hours.
All lanes are now open.
